Our Gawai Dayak Visitation

On 1st June, 2008, our family (MATE) (M= Michael A=Annie T=Timothy E=Esther) with our house-group went to our member's house , IE: LIS'S HOUSE , which is about 28 miles from Kuching. After passing TAPAI area, we turned in and drove for about 5 miles in a winding uneven gravel road. It is rather frightening, as the going looked difficult at times. Thank the Lord , we finally reach our destination and happy to see our friend UNCLE LIS.

Birthday Cake. We also celebrated Uncle Lis's birthday as we bought him a cake and a gift.
The cake was delicious and the gift was gratefully accepted. The Gift consisted a pen, a belt and a wallet.

Talking...and having a sumptuous lunch.

The foods consisted curry lamb chop, pan sol (chicken cooked in bamboo), newly harvested rice, fried beehoon. Everybody enjoyed it very very much... I hope that you also enjoy the food! ha! ha!

We left Uncle Lis's House around 12.55p.m. and said farewell to them.We almost cried...we are going to miss them.We pray that the Lord will richly bless them in whatever they DO.
Everybody reached home safely. PRAISE THE LORD.

Well, I never realized 4 of you can create a significant name for the blog, MATE, but this is rather interesting.

Oh talk about the foods. I'll drool if you snap the food nearer. hahaa!

As for the long journey, usually we will travel in a group / friends. Well at least a few cars followed behind for company if any of you are obscure with the place.
